For purists, the M4 Convertible with the retractable hardtop that brings with it a hefty weight penalty is the least desirable version of BMW’s new M3/M4 series, but not all drivers are weekend track racers nor do they try to extract every dollop of performance from their cars, so the ability to enjoy open-top driving comes as an added bonus.

In any case, the reason why we’re sharing these photos that were shot by members of the Auogespot forums with you is because we haven’t seen the new M4 Convertible (priced from $73,425 in the States) in these colors before, namely, the regularly available Yas Marina Blue and the upcoming Frozen Red with a semi-gloss finish.

Yesterday, we showed you the M3 Sedan in a trio of Frozen colors, which according to BMW managers, will be offered as a factory option from the beginning of next year.
