We’re not sure how many of you ever pondered what the 2015 Cadillac Escalade look like in pink, but now you know, and you can thank GM’s promo machine and NFL draft prospect Teddy Bridgewater for that.

To make a long story short, when 21-year old former University of Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was in the third grade, he made a promise to his mother, who suffered from breast cancer, that he would get her a pink Cadillac Escalade if he ever made it to the NFL.

“When I was in third grade, I promised my mom I would get her a pink Cadillac Escalade,” Bridgewater said. “Pink is the color that represents breast cancer awareness, so I just want to get her that big pink Escalade truck and see that big smile on her face.”

The timing for GM to release the story that was made into a short film by director Spike Lee and which was posted on Cadillac’s YouTube channel, is perfect as Mother’s Day is on Sunday, May 11.
