Blame online shops like eBay and Amazon as well as our feverish work schedule, but today, most people are accustomed to ordering things they want with a click of a button from the comfort of their home or on the go through their mobile phones. Like all companies, automakers and car dealers are aware of this, so they’re getting with the times.
Skoda’s UK arm says it has launched a new online tool for both regular computers and mobile devices for its accessories portal at “skoda.co.uk” allowing buyers to not only order the products they want for their cars, but also schedule an appointment for their fitment, if necessary, simply by tapping in their vehicle registration and postcode.
According to the automaker’s press blurb, “This reveals their nearest ŠKODA retailer from the 134-strong network as well as the accessories that can be bought for their specific model. Furthermore, customers can view the complete price list for each item, which includes the labour time, and select a date to have the accessories fitted.”
Among other products available are a digital DAB radio adapter, four-piece carpet set, a flexible loadliner, roof bars and bike holders.
