Nissan has announced that the all-new X-Trail starts from £22,995 (€28,011) in the UK, £2,600 less than its predecessor. The price is for the entry-level five-seat 2WD Visia. The five-seat 2WD Acenta, expected to be the most popular model in the range, is priced at £24,795 – £800 less than the outgoing entry level Acenta.

Arriving in UK dealerships on July 17, 2014, the X-Trail is available in four trim grades (Visia, Acenta, n-tec and Tekna), in 2WD and 4WD configuration, with a choice of five or seven seats.

The Acenta grade adds privacy glass, dual zone climate control, electric folding mirrors, a power sunroof, automatic lights and wipers, as well as front and rear parking sensors. Both the Visia and Acenta models come with the option of a Smart Vision Pack that adds driver aids and safety enhancements including automatic lights, High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Emergency Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition and front and rear parking sensors.

The n-tec grade starts at £27,295 and features additional equipment including the Smart Vision Pack plus 19-inch alloys, intelligent i-Key locking with push-button ignition, DAB radio, roof rails, power tailgate, Around View Monitor and the latest generation NissanConnect system with smartphone integration and built-in apps.

Finally, the range-topping Tekna, which is priced from £29,295, adds Bi-LED headlamps, heated leather seats and an electric driver’s seat with lumbar support. Additional safety features such as a Blind Spot Warning, Driver Attention Alert and Park Assist automatic parking feature are also included.
