Nissan went for weird when naming the Qashqai, a name misspelled and mispronounced at first, but one that has since become a mainstay in the vocabulary of a wide variety of car buyers that turn to it for their transportation needs.

It adopted the trend of naming models after tribes/peoples, like VW’s Touareg, going for a group of under a million that live in the south of Iran that have absolutely nothing to do with it whatsoever…

The latest generation of the vehicle keeps the name, but via a short video promo wants to make sure you don’t mess up the spelling ever again.

They accomplish this by misspelling the names written on the disposable coffee cups ordered by several caffeine cravers, cups that also feature a printed explanation on the word Qashqai. Oh, how very original!
