It took over a month for workers to recover all eight of the Corvettes that fell through the floor of the National Corvette Museum in Kentucky. The final car was lifted free on Wednesday, a 2001 Mallet Hammer Z06, and according to reports, it’s the one that has suffered the heaviest damage of them all. And by heaviest damage we mean you wouldn’t be able to tell what car it is any more…

If the museum does decide to begin restoring the buried Vettes, then this one will probably be left as is, because it doesn’t really look salvageable.

You may remember that it was brought up not long ago, the point about repairing or not repairing the damaged cars. Some argued that the cars would attract more visitors if they were not touched, after being extracted from the sinkhole. We currently have no official word about what they’re actually going to do next, though.

Before all that, the cars will be on display on a show that “opens next week and runs through Aug. 30,” according to The Detroit News.
