The next generation of Kia’s new Sedona minivan, also marketed as the Carnival MPV in Europe, South Korea and other countries and regions around the world, has popped up on our radar in its real life form, some 24 hours before the big reveal at the New York Auto Show on Wednesday.
Until today, and putting aside any scoop shots of camouflaged prototypes, Kia had only provided two drawings of the car that integrates the Korean firm’s new styling language, complete with the so-called “tiger nose” grille.
The car you see here is the South Korean domestic version, but the differences between regional models will be limited to minor trim changes.
Kia has confirmed that the 2015 Sedona will accept up to eight passengers (depending on the model) with the North American specification vehicle to be offered with a 3.3-liter gasoline direct injected (GDI) V6 engine and the brand’s next-generation UVO Infotainment & Telematics system.
