Easily one of the highlights of this year’s edition of the Goodwood Festival of Speed, set to take place between June 27 and 29, will be a prototype version of Honda’s upcoming NSX hybrid supercar.

It will be joined, at the bottom of the hill, by “a 1989 3.0-litre NSX, once driven by Ayrton Senna himself, and a 2005 3.2-litre, illustrating the original model’s rich history and development.”

However, Honda doesn’t seem to be too interested in releasing any more technical details about the NSX.

They’re just telling us what we already know: power will come from a mid-mounted twin-turbo V6 and the Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (or SH-AWD), “an all-new, three-motor high-performance hybrid system that combines torque vectoring all-wheel drive with advanced hybrid efficiency through the use of three electric motors – one motor integrated with the V6 engine and its all-new dual-clutch transmission (DCT) driving the rear wheels, and two motors driving the front wheels.”

The most we’ll get out of this is a video of the car going up the course, shot both officially from onboard and unofficially by the spectators lining the roadside area (behind the usual protective hay bales).
