Thanks to a mechanical failure that ultimately led to a Jeep Wrangler coming in to rescue the day, our European spies were able to point their cameras on a prototype for the facelifted Ford Grand C-MAX, which is the longer, three-row, 7-seater version of the C-MAX with sliding rear doors (not offered in North America).
It features a similarly draped front end to the regular C-Max tester we spotted last year, suggesting that Ford will use the Focus facelift’s full-size Aston Martin grille on both versions of its compact minivan series.
While the rest of the body of this particular Gran C-Max prototype remains unchanged, much like the Focus, we anticipate some tweaks to the MPV’s lights and bumpers on both ends, along with select interior revisions, including an updated infotainment system and display screen, a new steering wheel design and fresh trim accents.
The revised C-MAX and Grand C-MAX could make their first appearance at the Paris Motor Show later this year, if not earlier online.
