Michael Bay’s marketing machine is gearing up for this summer’s “Transformers: Age of Extinction” movie starring Mark Wahlberg in place of Shia “I am not famous” LaBeouf with the release of the first full trailer that follows the 30-second spot shown during the Super Bowl in February.
The trailer offers the usual Transformers cocktail of big blasts, huge alien robots, a beautiful damsel in distress, plenty of GM models, and then some more – in particular, Optimus Prime slapping the living daylights out of a mechanical dinosaur from the fictional family of Dinobots. What will we see next…
Automotive-wise, the Bumblebee character makes an entrance in several scenes in the form of a sinister-looking 1967 Camaro SS (Bay and GM have shown a new concept of the Camaro, which might also appear in the film), while we get a quick glimpse of a Pagani Huayra as well.
If you pay close attention to the two and a half minute long trailer at the 13-second mark, or notice the last picture in the screenshots we took, you’ll see a sign that reads “Remember Chicago” and the tagline “Report Alien Activity” that contains a phone number. As pointed out by Cinemablend, and confirmed by yours truly, this is a real number…in the viral marketing sense, as it takes you to a automated message that warns you to stay clear of Transformers and suggests you visit the website TransformersAreDangerous.com.
