Wrapping up our confirmed Geneva Motor Show debuts from German modifier of everything related to the VW Group, ABT Sportsline, is the new Golf GTI Dark Edition.
The name is derived from the black body color that contrasts the red accents used on the inner grille piece, headlamps, ABT’s aero kit for the bumper aprons, side skirts, roof spoiler and tailgate attachment, plus the 20-inch CR wheels shod in 235/30 R20 tires. At the back, you may notice the smoked tail light clusters and quad exhaust pipes.
To give the GTI more oomph, ABT uprated the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine from 217hp (220PS) to a Golf R-matching 296hp (300PS), stating that the hot hatch can now complete the 0-100km/h (62mph) acceleration in 5.8 seconds, 0.8 seconds faster than the factory model.
