When you’re behind the wheel of a car, an overreaction can be the worst type of reaction, something the driver of this Jeep Wrangler demonstrated perfectly (and unfortunately) during this incident.

The scene unfolded on I-240 West near Asheville, North Carolina (USA), where two cars nearly came together due to one of the drivers being unaware that they were being overtaken. This is what we mean when we keep saying how important road awareness is.

Legally speaking, the person driving the red SUV didn’t do anything wrong. They definitely signaled their intent to pass the Wrangler before the Jeep had its own turn signal blinking. With the cars nearly mirror to mirror, that’s when the driver of the Jeep panicked and steered away violently, thus losing control.

The slightly damp road was probably a factor too, once the car started skidding towards the guardrail – there’s very little that could have been done at that point. The worst part of course is that upon impact, the Jeep flips over and rolls, putting its driver’s life at risk.

Thankfully, the crash didn’t result in any serious injuries, and the people driving behind them literally rushed to the rescue, which is an ideal scenario whenever a car accident occurs.
