In general, annual conferences for investors can be, you know, tedious, for most people with no financial gains, but they can also provide interesting news. Today, for example, during Daimler’s annual meeting in Stuttgart, the German automaker unintentionally showed a photo of a brand new coupe.

The team over at the MB Passion blog who spotted the car as well as Worldcarfans, believe that it is likely the upcoming S-Class Coupe. The fact that Daimler boss Dieter Zetsche mentioned the car in his speech, does support the theory.

If it isn’t the new S-Class Coupe, then the only other upcoming Mercedes model we can think of is the next C-Class Coupe.

During the conference, Mercedes said that the production S-Class Coupe, which spy shots have revealed will stay close to the concept exhibited at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show, will go on sale in the third quarter of the year adding that it will ” set new standards in the luxury segment”.
