As we learned from the news, three days of extreme blizzards and a freak ice storm have inflicted what locals describe as “the worst devastation in living memory” in Slovenia, with hundreds of thousands of people left without electricity and approximately half the country’s forests, around 500,000 hectares (1.2 million acres), damaged.

It certainly isn’t a time to go around driving your car, especially in places with trees frozen like popsicles that are ready to drop at any moment…

Still, some do, as you can see for yourself in the following video that was forwarded to us by local resident Gabrijel B., who told us: “This was recorded in Slovenia where we have really bad weather conditions. Driver said that he is ok so it was only car damage.”

If you live in Slovenia and have any videos and/or photos from the roads and cars that you would like to share, send them over to our email address (carscoop-at-gmail-dot-com).

Thanks to Gabrijel!
