To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first RS model, the Audi 80 estate-based Avant RS2 that was developed in cooperation with Porsche, Ingolstadt has announced a special edition model for the RS2’s modern equivalent, the RS4 Avant.

Scheduled for a world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show next month, the Audi RS4 Avant Nogaro Selection will sport a Nogaro blue pearl effect paint finish and exclusive equipment.

Available to order from early 2014, the special edition RS4 Avant will also feature subtle visual updates including high-gloss black painted Singleframe grille, window slot trims and oval tailpipe trims, as well as matt black roof rails. A more striking change is represented by the gloss 20-inch wheels in 5-V-spoke design.

On the inside, the Audi RS4 Avant Nogaro Selection offers two different upholstery options: in both cases, the side sections are covered with black Valcona leather, while the Alcantara center sections can be had in black or Nogaro Blue. The armrests are covered with black leather with blue contrasting stitching, while black or Nogaro Blue piping frames the black floor mats.

The steering wheel and gearshift lever are wrapped in black leather as well, while the carbon inlays feature blue threads. Finally, a badge on the RS selector lever knob of the S tronic and the logos on the door sill trims refer to the special status of the anniversary model.

Under the hood, the Audi RS4 Avant Nogaro Selection features the same stock 4.2-liter V8 engine producing 444hp (450PS) at 8,250 rpm and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) from 4,000 rpm. The wagon accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds and hits a top speed of 280 km/h (174 mph).

Prices in Germany start from €87,300 ($118,000).
