Honda’s world premiere at the New Delhi Auto Expo is the Vision XS-1 at the, a study which embodies the company’s “vision for the future of manufacturing while staying true to its original M/M philosophy (man maximum, machine minimum)”, according to the company’s press blurb.

That means maximizing the space available for people and minimizing the space required for mechanical components.

According to Honda, the concept combines a sporty exterior styling with interior space in a compact body. It also features Honda’s human-centered design concept, based on the “Exciting H Design” philosophy.

The Vision XS-1 has three rows of seats for a maximum of seven passengers, with access made through two huge sliding doors with large openings. No details were given about the study’s powertrain.

While “there is no mass-production plan for this model at the moment”, Honda says it chose to display it in India because it’s a rapidly growing market where it has strong ties.
