Yes, it’s that glorious time of the year for sports fans in the States, the annual championship game of the National Football League (NFL), commonly known as the Super Bowl. This year’s final will see the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawk go head-to-head on Sunday, February 2, at the MetLife Stadium in Rutherford, New Jersey.

Even if you’re not that into sports, or…sofa-drinking and snack battles, there’s one more game played outside the field, but right inside your home: television spots.

Automakers and car-related brands are among the most prominent players in this game, vying to draw as much attention as possible from the tens of millions of viewers hooked on to their television sets.

And rightfully so, as since 2010, the Super Bowl has repeatedly held the title of the most watched program on television, drawing in an average of 106.5 million viewers in 2010, 111 million in 2011, 111.3 million in 2012 and 108.7 million people last year.

In this posting, we’ll share with you all the automotive industry and people related commercials and teaser spots from Super Bowl XLVIII, adding them as they come in.
