Want further proof that Nissan is serious about producing the IDx sports car concept? Well, the Japanese carmaker has just announced that the IDx Freeflow and IDx Nismo concept cars will go on a three-day tour in Southern California starting on Friday, January 31.
Recently displayed at the Detroit Auto Show, the two concept vehicles will be showcased in a series of classic California spots, from the streets of Venice to Irvine’s Cars & Coffee, and will be the highlight of a special event at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.
Fans who are interested to see the Nissan studies will be able to track their whereabouts and exact locations using the hashtag #IDxinSoCal. On January 31 the cars will be on display from 4 to 10 p.m. on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice, where fans will have the opportunity to talk with the designers and to provide Nissan with feedback about a possible production version.
On February 1, in the morning, the IDx concepts will be on display at the legendary “Cars & Coffee” enthusiast gathering in Irvine. From 10 a.m., the cars will appear at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles as part of the “Inside the MotoMan Studio” event, starring automotive journalist George Notaras and featuring Peter Brock.
Finally, the two concepts will make an appearance on February 2 at the “Supercar Sunday” enthusiast gathering in Woodland Hills, from 7 to 10 a.m.
