Airport parking buildings are oftentimes chosen by movie producers, writers and directors as the perfect places for lengthy action scenes that usually involves some form of erratic driving, crashing, (plenty of) shooting, and, of course, at the end of it all, an almost unbelievable escape (or explosion).
Well, an event somewhere along those lines actually happened earlier this year, in May, when the cops tailed 20 year-old Rodney Addison and a 17-year old friend into the Jacksonville Airport parking, as they were reportedly driving a stolen car.
From then on, as the police footage obtained from News4Jax shows, the carnage that ensues has the pursuing officers armed with rifles, taking three shots at the rogue driver whose car is repeatedly rammed and blocked, but is still able to back out through the entire parking garage, make a J-turn, then escape out the other side.
The younger of the two was apprehended later that same afternoon, while the main culprit, Addison, turned himself in the next day, and is now facing multiple and severe charges that will definitely mount up in years, which he’ll be spending behind bars.
