Our spies sent over these photos of a heavily disguised mini car that they believe to be the second generation of the Toyota Aygo, which is an A-segment model built and sold in Europe since 2005.
The original Aygo is the product of a joint-venture between Toyota and the PSA Peugeot-Citroen Group, and a sister model to the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107, with all three cars manufactured at the Toyota Peugeot Citroën Automobile Czech (TPCA) joint venture factory in Kolin, Czech Republic.
There’s very little information on the Aygo’s replacement at this time, but it’s almost certain that it will be the fruit of the collaboration between Toyota and the French Group, which understandably, will also release its own versions of the low cost mini under the Peugeot and Citroen brands.
Taking under consideration the fact that after eight years in the market, the Aygo has long passed its due date for a replacement, it shouldn’t be long before we learn more details.
