At this month’s ongoing Nissan 360 event in California, the Japanese brand shared two sketches of a sporty-looking sedan concept with the press, which Jalopnik’s Jason Torchinsky reports that it previews a new study that will break cover in the flesh at the next Detroit motor show in January.

We took a quick look at Nissan’s recent concepts and couldn’t find it, but in the process, we did discover that it borrows a number of design elements from several studies including the Friend-ME and the Resonance.

It remains unknown at this time whether the new concept previews a specific model (perhaps a Maxima replacement or a brand new series, for example) or if it was created to simply demonstrate Nissan’s freshened design language.
