The attraction towards classic cars has a lot to do with their looks. Those looking for an old car with sweet curves and thin wooden steering wheel have a wide variety of vehicles to choose from, but usually, Italian classics are at the top of the desirability list.
Sure, they were never renowned for good electrics or particularly good reliability, but for some, those aspects don’t matter at all when the car looks as pretty as this Alfa Romeo Zagato Junior.
Built on the same platform as the 1970s Spider, the Zagato Junior therefore gets the standard 1.6-liter engine and has a relatively low body weight, which even today should translate into sharp handling. This particular car, painted what is a period-correct kind of vivid pea green, is the 287th ever built, and according to its eBay page, it is “totally original and works perfectly, all documentation is complete, the plate is well preserved, no rust, and perfect mechanics, color and interior are original.”
The owner is asking $35,000 for it, but it looks to be in very good shape if you browse through the photos, so it may be worth it if you can afford it as second or third car in your garage.
