From 2014 onwards, Sébastien Loeb’s new “company car” will be the Citroën C-Elysée WTCC, as the French carmaker will enter the World Touring Car Championship.

Although it uses the C-Elysée nameplate, the racecar has nothing to do with the humble budget sedan. Powered by a 380hp 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine linked to a six-speed Sadev sequential gearbox, the C-Elysée WTCC only weighs 1,100 kg (2,425 lbs) – that’s including the driver.

Speaking of the man behind the wheel, so far, only Sébastien Loeb was confirmed, but the latest video released by Citroën Racing surprises fans by revealing the second works driver – three-time WTCC champion Yvan Muller. The video starts with Loeb picking up a friend in a Citroën DS3 Cabrio then driving to a track to check out the new C-Elysée WTCC.

The car wasn’t there though, as Yvan Muller had already taken it out for a spin. Scroll down to find out if Loeb convinced Muller to let him drive too and to watch the C-Elysée WTCC in action for the first time.
