The new Honda Accord Hybrid won’t go on sale in the States until October, but it’s already available in Japan where the carmaker’s official tuning arm Mugen has presented a selection of goods to customize the sedan’s appearance and to some extent, improve handling.

For the outside, Mugen prepared a subtle aero-package comprising front and rear aprons that bolt on directly to the bumpers, along with side skirts and carbon-fiber grille trim and boot lid spoiler.

Mugen’s other offerings include a stiffer sports suspension that also lowers the car’s right height, a new set of 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels in tires size 245/35R19, bolts and oil filler caps with the tuner’s logo, and so-called “sport floor mats” – you’ll have to ask Honda’s partner what makes them “sport”…
