BMW has accustomed us to having its designers and marketing people talk us through its new models, and the 4-Series Coupe is no exception. With the reveal of its new 3-Series-based coupe, the Bavarian carmaker also released a video in which BMW’s head of design Karim Habib describes the 4-Series Coupe’s styling highlights.

According to Habib, the new coupe adds more status and has more presence on the road than the outgoing 3-Series coupe. The Bavarian company’s design boss says the most important thing about it are its proportions. At the front, the connection between the kidney grille and the headlights has been taken one-step further from the 3-Series, with the designer saying the element is wider and more elegant.

As for the interior, Habib states that it includes refined, luxurious materials that help create a combination of sportiness and elegance inside.

You can listen to Habib talk about the 4-Series Coupe in the video below, as well as BMW‘s head of international advertising and online marketing, Wolfgang Breyer. We’ve also added three more official videos that include driving footage and exterior and interior footage of the car that goes on sale later this summer.
