Despite being a hugely expensive car that is out of reach for most gearheads in the world, the Lamborghin iAventador has been a big hit since its 2011 launch. This week, the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based manufacturer announced the manufacturing of the 2,000th example of the Aventador, a Nero Nemesis car, which is destined for an unnamed U.S. executive who already owns a Gallardo 550-2 Sypder.
I suspect that it’s the stunning design which seals the deal for most, because whichever way you put it, there are a few cars in this worlds that can compete in looks with the Aventador on the road.
With this car, Lamborghini has reached the midway point in the Aventador’s production, which will be capped off at 4,000 units.
It seems to be quite a bit more popular than its predecessor, the harder to pronounce Murcielago, which only managed to reach 2,000 units after being on sale for 5 years, after its 2001 launch.
