Renault is ahead of many automakers when it comes to electric vehicle development, with the French company having four EVs already on the market – the Twizy, Zoe, Fluence Z.E. and Kangoo Z.E.

The Zoe is the latest electric Renault that launched on European roads, with prices starting from €13,700 in France and from £13,995 in the UK (both prices include governments’ incentives, but not monthly lease fees for the battery).

Now that all four of its planned Z.E. models are on the market, is Renault thinking about offering new versions? Well, if we are to judge by a post on Renault Z.E.’s Facebook page, one option could be a convertible Zoe.

Renault posted a rendering of a Zoe convertible made by a Spanish fan and asked its followers whether they would like to see it produced. “Renault Zoe cabriolet: ideal for driving in the fresh spring air! Would you like this concept made by a fan to be real?” reads the photo description.

Is Renault testing the public’s reaction to a convertible Zoe with this post or is it just a means of creating buzz around the Zoe hatchback? We cannot answer that yet, but the reactions to the rendering were overwhelmingly positive. However, Renault needs more than Facebook likes and comments to make such an important decision. So, what do you think, would a Zoe convertible be worth Renault’s trouble?
