How much money are you willing to spend on a classic coupe from the 1970s? When you’re talking about a four-seater Ferrari with a V12 engine, the 365 GT4 2+2, and a famous previous owner, this one should exceed $20,000 (reserve has not been met at $15,000).
The car also happens to be in excellent condition and the famous ex-owner just happens to be none other than comedian Bill Cosby, a fact attested by an engraved plaque that reads: “Prepared especially for Bill Cosby / Al Burtioni’s Milano Imports.”
The 365 GT4 gets typical 1970s Ferrari styling, with lots of straight lines and right angles. It has a great, elongated profile and large wheelbase, both of which give it an unusual presence and enough space in the back for two actual passengers. Its engine displaces 4390 cubic centimeters (4.4-liters) and it puts out 320 hp and 432 Nm (318 lb-ft) – it is shared with the much more famous Ferrari 365 GTB/4, better known as the Daytona.
The owner doesn’t give too many details in the eBay ad, but there are plenty of photos showing this brown car with tan leather interior from every conceivable angle, so scroll down and take it all in. Still, we would have liked to know about the car’s history in its famous owner’s hands – how long he kept it for, and general ownership details would have been welcome.
