Not that we would mind, but sitting down to watch a video of a car going around a track sideways for 51.278 miles (82.506 kilometers) or 322.5 laps isn’t something that most internet viewers would have the patience to do.

Instead, BMW went for a short version of Johan Schwartz’s Guinness World Record-shattering drift attempt that was performed in a completely stock 2013 M5 sedan at the BMW Performance Center in South Carolina on Saturday, May 11, 2013.

If you didn’t read our previous post (without the video), the BMW Performance Center Instructor smashed the previous record set in Abu Dhabi this past February by 47.71 miles (76.8 km).

Head past the break to watch the clip for yourself.
