Mitsubishi is heading to the Auto China 2013 in Shanghai, which kicks off this Saturday, April 20 and runs through April 29, with the local premiers of the Concept G4 and CA-MiEV small sedans, while also showcasing its production range.

The Concept G4 made its world premiere last month at the Bangkok International Motor Show. It is a near-production study for a sedan version of Mitsubishi’s no-frills supermini, the Mirage. In fact, if you take out the blue-tinted lights and grille, spoilers and alloy wheels, what you’re left with is the actual production model that could follow as early as within the next year.

Like the Mirage, which is already on sale in a number of market and will be available in the States this fall, the G4 is powered by a 1.2-liter MIVEC three-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a CVT that drives the front wheels.

The second concept sedan from Mitsubishi is the more futuristic CA-MiEV that we first laid eyes on at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year. The very Prius-like-shaped sub-compact sedan is just 4,050mm (159.5-inches) long and is fitted with an electric motor and a 28kWh high capacity battery that offers a cruising range of 300km (about 187 miles).
