Hyundai is readying a mid-life nip-and-tuck for its ix35 compact crossover that is known as the Tucson in North America. We’ve already had the opportunity to share some photos of a prototype model, but our man with the long lens has now captured images of a second test car, this time nabbing the interior as well.
It’s not clearly visible from the photos, but under the disguise of these prototypes will be refreshed front and rear ends that are likely to borrow their design DNA from Hyundai’s more recent models like the i40 mid-size sedan and station, and the larger Santa Fe crossover.
Inside, the wraps don’t allow us to see what’s going on in detail, but it looks like the design will remain the same, with Hyundai simply applying some mild changes to the ix35’s décor and possibly the controls on the center console.
Look for the ix35 to make its world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show this fall.
