A very lightly camouflaged prototype of what we believe to be the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG performance limo was detailed on film while parked on the road by YouTube user DrGumoLunatic.

But what leads us to think that this is the S65 and not the S63 AMG, or for that matter, a regular W222 S-Class model? Well, we could mention the wheels and brakes, but the most telling part are the quad exhaust pipes, as each pair is connected, a trait seen only in the S65 AMG models – in the S63, for example, there are four separately shaped outlets.

While the new S63 AMG will feature Mercedes’ latest 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8, likely with the same 550HP (557PS) and 531 lb-ft (720 Nm) of torque as on the 2014 E63 AMG, the range-topping S65 AMG will probably continue with the current model’s 6.0-liter bi-turbocharged V12 engine pushing out 621hp (630PS) and 1,000Nm (737 lb-ft).

We’ll see the new W222 S-Class making its world premiere later this year, either in China during the first half of 2013 or the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
