Here’s hoping Volkswagen Group’s China arm doesn’t get any strange ideas after taking a look at these photos.
In case the bright Bentley-style grille and badges blinded you, this car began life as a Volkswagen Phaeton, which was Wolfsburg’s attempt to enter the luxury sedan segment.
In all fairness, while the Bentley Continental series does indeed look different from the Phaeton, under the skin, it’s a completely different story as the two models share the same Volkswagen Group D1 platform and many other components.
The Bentley-badged and –trimmed Phaeton is listed for sale on Craigslist in New Jersey with an asking price of $17,000.
