We knew from the first time we heard Fiat’s catchy new rap-tune ‘The Motherhood’, which was created for the 500L, that it wouldn’t be long before it takes the internet by storm, and we were proven right, as the original video has since garnered more than 2.6 million views on YouTube.
The Italian carmaker is not known for letting these kinds of marketing opportunities go by, and it’s now offering internet users the ability to download the song to their computers and cell phone devices for free through its UK website, which includes links for three ring tones and the full track.
“The response to the rap video has been incredible, and there’s no sign of it subsiding yet,” says Elena Bernardelli, marketing director, Fiat Group Automobiles UK. “People are continuing to view the viral, interest in the new Fiat 500L has grown, and now we are being asked for the music.
“We are very happy with the way The Motherhood has caught customers’ and fans’ imagination and are delighted to make the ringtone available. I hope it continues to give hard-working mothers the lift they deserve,” she added.
