As the name suggests, Houston-based SeriousHP is a tuning firm with a knack for improving engine performance, and this is exactly the case with one of its latest offerings, a new Turbo Kit for the Ferrari 360 Modena.
Produced from 1999 through 2005, the stock version of Maranello’s mid-engined supercar comes equipped with a naturally-aspirated 3.6-liter V8 pushing out 400hp (405PS).
SeriousHP says the car it got its hands on was rated at 300 rear wheel horsepower (RWHP). Following the performance upgrades highlighted by a turbocharging system, the 360 Modena delivers an F50 and Enzo-beating 780hp (791PS) and 650 RWHP.
“To reach this level of performance the car has been fully reinforced, main modifications being the engine fully equipped with forged internals, a 67-66 Precision Turbo, upgraded fuel system, reinforced transmission, new Pro-Efi engine management equipped with multiple engine protection systems to avoid engine failures,” SeriousHP told CarScoop in an email.
“At the end, two words have driven this project: reliability and stock Ferrari feeling, this kit being as close as possible to the original creations from Maranello factory,” it added.
