There’s a new trailer out about the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 named “Conception”, with this one revolving around the design philosophy of GM’s forthcoming sports car that will be fully revealed at the 2013 Detroit auto Show on Sunday evening, January 13.

Kirk Bennion, exterior design manager of the C7 is featured in Chevy’s short clip, and this is what he says: “Performance cars are definitely all about form follows function. But I would say beautiful form follows performance driven function.”

The carmaker’s own description of the video is equally vague: “The 2014 Corvette exterior was sculpted for optimal aerodynamic performance. Every line, every vent, every millimeter performs.”

Perhaps the only really interesting parts of the film are those that provide us a quick glimpse of more than a dozen sketches drawn during the early development stages of the seventh generation Corvette.

However, unless your name is Flash, we doubt you can get a good look at the cars in the drawings so we took a few snapshots that you can check out for yourself after the break.
