The new Mazda6 may speak for itself, but the Japanese carmaker is looking to create some additional buzz for the arrival of the mid-size model in the United Kingdom by announcing that all customers who already have or will pre-order a Saloon or Tourer version on or before 31 December 2012, will automatically be entered into a prize draw.

The prize for one lucky customer will be that he or she won’t be charged a single penny for the car. Mazda said that this includes any factory-fitted options specified by the buyer, delivery, 12 months road tax, licence plates, three-year warranty and breakdown cover, but not dealer-fitted accessories.

The winner will be announced after the draw takes place on 4 January 2013.

In the UK, the Japanese carmaker offers a total of 36 saloon and tourer versions of the new Mazda6, including a choice of four engines, a 2.0-liter gasoline unit in 143bhp (145PS) and 162bhp (165PS) guises, and a 2.2-liter diesel in two states of tune with 147bhp (150PS) and 173bhp (175PS).

On-the-road prices range from £19,595 to £28,045 with first deliveries set for 25 January 2013.
