The fact that the original Audi TT won many awards and praise for its unique design and single-handedly changed the styling DNA of an entire brand didn’t keep many people from calling it names like a “hairdresser’s car”.
The sharper styled, second-generation of the TT was perceived as “less hairdresser” but still not “hairy chested”, something that Aldo Schurmann, a student from the “Istituto d’Arte Applicata e Design” in Turin, Italy, attempted to do with his Audi RS concept study.
The RS is a manlier-looking, two-seater roadster that draws inspiration from the Audi A5 models in its lines, with a hint of BMW in the design of the sculpted rear end, which is somewhat ironic given that Schurmann’s previous BMW X Roadster study reminded us of the Audi R8.
