There is no doubt that, at some point, we have all done something stupid behind the wheel, but you would think that driving one of the fastest cars in the world like the Nissan GT-R on a side road would make you a tad more careful.
Try telling that to the…pilot of the gunmetal GT-R in the insane video that follows after the break.
In what appears to be some sort of sports car cruise, possibly in Maryland judging by the “Ballenger Creek Pike” and “Elmer Derr Road” signs, the GT-R driver passes the car filming the incident and which was already going fast, from the left hand side of the road, as if there was no tomorrow.
A bump on the road, however, sends the Nissan literally into the air and causes it to lose control and head into the field. On the bright side, the driver avoided the hill on the turnaround…
Jalopnik, which first discovered the video, says in one of its updates that according to a reader, the driver of the GT-R did not suffer any injuries and was even able to move the car out of the field before towing and transferring it to Frederick Nissan. The car reportedly sustained around $15,000 (€11,500 at today’s rates) in damages.
And in case you’re wondering after watching the first video, the people in the car who recorded the accident did stop to check out the driver.
We should warn you that there’s some foul language in the videos, so you may want to turn down the volume if you’re not alone…
