The much-anticipated 2014 Mazda6 sedan made its first public appearance at the Moscow International Auto Salon this week before it goes on sale in Europe and Japan later this year and the rest of the world, including the U.S. and Canada, in early 2013.
Besides a new set of photos and a video from the presentation at the Moscow show, we’ve also found the first promotional clips for the mid-size sedan model, one without sound and the other with two musicians playing to the tunes of “All Day and All of the Night” by the British band The Kinks.
While final specifications for global markets, such as Europe and North America are to be disclosed at a later date, Mazda revealed that the Russian-specification model will launch with a choice of two new four-cylinder petrol engines from the firm’s SKYACTIV-G range.
These include a base 2.0-liter unit rated at 148hp (150PS) and a 2.5-liter engine producing 189hp (192PS). Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic, both driving the front wheels.
