It has been about two years since Hyundai released the latest generation of the Avante compact sedan in its home market of South Korea and a little less before it arrived in North American showrooms as the new Elantra.
For the 2013 model year, Hyundai has gone ahead and made some minor changes to the South Korean market model including the introduction of newly designed 17-inch wheels, a “Hazel Bronze” exterior finish, the use of LED tail lamps, tweaked windshield wipers and if we’re not mistaken, darker headlamp fixtures.
The automaker says it has improved the car’s standard specification with the addition of VDC (Vehicle stability control) and other extras on all models, while it also introduced new convenience features such as a heated steering wheel and ventilated front seats.
Hyundai also updated the 2013 Avante’s three-point rear seat belts and tweaked the parking aid system.
The company didn’t say if any of these changes / updates will make their way on the Elantra.
