A prototype model of Mercedes-Benz’s upcoming SLS AMG Black Series Edition has once again been snagged on camera while hammering out a few hot laps around the 20.8 km (13 miles) long Nürburgring track in Germany.
Like all Black Series edition models released by Mercedes-Benz over the past few years, the SLS AMG will benefit from a weight reduction (possibly as much as 50kg or 110 pounds), a tuned chassis and an uprated version of the stock model’s 6.3-liter V8 engine making somewhere between 600 and 650-horsepower.
The added oomph will come with a bit of show and tell via a reworked body with widened front and rear fenders shrouding broader tracks on each end, an assortment of new spoilers and a different set of alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance rubber.
The German brand’s AMG division is also expected make changes to the interior, most likely with a new pair of body-hugging seats and model-specific trim.
Look for the hardcore SLS AMG making its showroom debut sometime next year.
