We have already scooped the regular versions of the European market Opel Insignia facelift a couple of times, but now our spies have snapped the range-topping OPC (sold as the Vauxhall Insignia VXR in the UK) undergoing tests at the Nürburgring track.
Not surprisingly, the OPC model will receive a similar suite of styling tweaks as the normal versions of the series (marketed as the Buick Regal in North America) and which include redesigned bumpers, a new front grille and possibly changes to the headlamp and taillight fixtures.
More than just providing a look at the exterior of the Insignia OPC / VXR, these latest spy shots also give us our first glimpse at the interior, which gains a newly designed center console with a much larger screen for the infotainment and navigation systems, flanked by taller air vents and new buttons on the top.
In its current form, the Insignia OPC / VXR is motivated by a 2.8-liter twin-scroll turbocharged V6 engine delivering 321hp (325PS) and 435Nm (321 lb-ft) of torque channeled to all four wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox.
We still do not know if Opel will make any changes to the Insignia OPC / VXR’s powertrain.
