Not that we were expecting anything to change over the Pathfinder Concept displayed at the Detroit motor show in January before it headed to the Chicago Auto Show for a second appearance in February, but Nissan has officially revealed the final production version of its new crossover on its Facebook page.

The new images show that the only differences between concept and production model are the clear windows and possibly the grille finish – we say possibly because Nissan may offer a chromed version either on the options list or on a higher end trim model.

The seven seater 2013 Pathfinder signals a return to a passenger car-like unibody construction for the series as it drops the outgoing model’s body-on frame architecture.

We already know that the new model is built on the same platform as the 2013 Infiniti JX, so even if Nissan hasn’t revealed details on the powertrain, chances are the two models will share the same 3.5-liter V6 producing 265-horses and 248 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm, coupled to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Further details about the 2013 Pathfinder including pricing are to be released by the end of this week.
