The new generation of the Honda CR-V has been on sale in North America since last December, but the European version of the compact soft-roader was only just revealed in production form and it won’t be arriving in showrooms until late October – early November, depending on the country.

We have already detailed the European model in our previous post here, but Honda just came out with some new photos and static video footage of the crossover that you will find right after the break.

In Europe, the new CR-V will be available at launch with a tweaked 2.0-liter i-VTEC petrol delivering 153hp (155PS) and a 153hp (155PS) 2.2-liter i-DTEC diesel, while early next year, the range will be enhanced with Honda’s all-new 1.6-liter turbo diesel rated at 118HP (120PS).

Notably, for the first time in Europe, the CR-V will be offered with a choice of both two- and four-wheel drive versions.

Besides the different engine lineup from the North American model that is available exclusively with a 185hp 2.4-liter gasoline unit, the Euro-spec CR-V also sports a revised front bumper, headlamps with LED daytime running lights and rear LED lights, reshaped mirrors that incorporate turning signals and a fin-style antenna.
