For reasons that do not need to be explained to an auto enthusiast, the Renault Alpine A110-50 concept study is one of those vehicles that you can never really get enough of, which is why we’re bringing you another video of the French sports car.
This film was shot during the Alpine A110-50’s speedy drive up the famous hillclimb course at last month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
As you can see for yourself, despite its conceptual nature, the Alpine A110-50 is a fully working prototype, and an impressive one at that.
In its current form, the Renault study is powered by a mid-mounted 3.5-liter V6 engine sourced from Nissan that churns out 395bhp (400PS) at 7,200rpm and 311 lb-ft at 6,200rpm.
Power is channeled to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox and a mechanical limited-slip differential.
Renault has said that it will make a decision on the production future of the Alpine brand and the A110-50 before the end of the year.
Thanks to ‘Type-01’ for the heads up!
