We may be four and half months away from the opening of this year’s edition of the Los Angeles Auto Show in the last week of November, but the shows organizers are already preparing us for what lies ahead.

The debut lineup is said to include more than 40 North American and at least 20 world premieres with more to be announced.

While the LA Auto Show will not say which new cars and concepts are slated to make their first outing in November, we are told that Acura, Aston Martin, BMW, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Jaguar, Kia, Land Rover, Nissan and Porsche Toyota and Volkswagen are amongst the brands that will reveal new models.

“As the first major North American show of the season, L.A. sets the tone for 2013 and we expect that automakers will pull out all the stops to excite new-car buyers,” said Andy Fuzesi, general manager, L.A. Auto Show.

“In virtually every category from the greenest electric vehicle to high-horsepower performance models, the technological advancements we are seeing today eclipse all previous automotive eras,” he added.

The 2012 LA Auto Show will be open to the public from November 30 until December 9.

Naturally, we will keep you informed about all the news surrounding the show, but in the meantime, you can check out our coverage from last year’s event here.
