The minds at Bavarian tuning firm Väth have prepared a new performance package for the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster, the highlight of which is an engine kit that bundles together a supercharger kit with a series of other upgrades such as an optimized ECU and sports air filter.
The makeover on the 6.2-liter V8 engine lifts output from 563hp (571PS) to 691hp (700PS) and peak torque from 650Nm (479 lb-ft) to 850Nm (627 lb-ft).
The extra kick allows the SLS AMG Roadster to hit 100km/h (62mph) from standstill in 3.6 seconds and top out at 330km/h (205mph), an improvement of 0.2 seconds and 13km/h (8mph) over the factory model respectively.
A high performance brake system along with a stainless steel exhaust system with throttle control and changes to the suspension that include a revamped AMG RIDE CONTROL and sport springs, are also part of the package.
On the styling front, the SLS AMG Roadster gets a front apron, a boot spoiler and side skirts made from carbon fiber, plus a new set of 20-inch alloy rims shod in tires size 265/30-20 on the front and 315/25-20 on the rear axle, and carbon fiber trim for the interior.
In Germany, the entire package is priced at €85,130 (US$104,400).
