Honda announced pricing and range details of the refreshed 2019 Pilot, which arrives in dealerships today.
For the 2019MY, Honda’s eight-seat SUV is more aggressively styled, sporting a new front fascia with standard LED headlights, LED fog lights, thinner turn signals and a redesigned grille. The rear end gets new taillights, bumper and chrome accents.
Other new features include the addition of the Honda Sensing suite of driver assistance and safety systems as standard, as well as an upgraded interface for the infotainment system that’s now easier to use and a new instrument cluster with a seven-inch TFT multi-information display.
The new infotainment system features an eight-inch touchscreen display from Pilot EX trims and above and now comes with a volume knob for better ergonomics. As before, the system comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
For the first time ever, the new Honda Pilot also offers an embedded Telematics Control Unit (TCU) in Touring and Elite trims, as well as wireless phone charging and an updated Rear Entertainment System. The TCU comes with a 90-day/3GB free trial period.
The 2019 Honda Pilot is still powered by a 3.5-liter V6 with 280hp and 262lb-ft of torque. LX, EX and EX-L models come fitted with a six-speed automatic transmission while Touring and Elite models get the nine-speed auto, which has been updated for more refinement.
