“Skoda’s rich past will not only be presented in depth in the new museum, but also brought to life in an emotional way for the first time,” said Margit Adamová Černá, head of the Skoda Museum.

The renewed building with have a dedicated display area of 1,800 square meters housing around 45 automobiles, bicycles and motorcycles as well as a wide range of other exhibits from the company’s history that extends back to the end of the 19th century.

Furthermore, the exhibition will be constantly updated with restored Skoda vehicles, while the company also plans alternating special displays to encourage visitors to return to the museum.

The museum will be divided into three main areas that guide the visitor through the history of the company and its vehicle development.

These will include the “Tradition” section, where Skoda will display vehicles from different eras, the so-called “Evolution” exhibition area that traces Skoda’s beginnings to the company founders Václav Klement and Václav Laurin, and finally, the “Production” section that focuses on how the company’s cars were built and how they are restored today.
